Snake loos are a real problem in some parts of the world! A bite on the bum from one of those babies you're deep in the nasty stuff!

I thought it was quite amusing that Keith turned out to be a girl!
You found me other blog then - I try to keep this side a little more serious but heck I just ain't that kinda gal really - as you know!!
What bugged me for ages with this post was that I tried to just cut and paste the link but it just wouldn't work until I joined it to the text. It gets me so frustrated when I can't work things out.
Oh sorry, rambling again....back to snake bite on the bottom......

Serious side duly noted. I was responding on kind. I know from my African travels that this actually happens!

Not from personal experience I hope!
This is a big news in a wee country. We sometimes forget how relatively unhazardous our little island life is.

Thankfully no! But I was in Accra, Ghana one time and a report in the paper made mention of such a "biting" by a snake. When I commented on it I was told that this is quite a common event, as in many of the villages, there is no sanitation as such.
And the "loo" is little more than a hole in the gound! I have travelled to many of these villages and, it is hardly surprising that such things happen.
